Mandie Gleason, founder
A licensed massage therapist, Mandie Gleason became frustrated by the lack of truly pure and healthy products available to bodywork professionals and decided to formulate her own line. She combined her passion for alchemy with a true desire to help and heal her clients, and WellSpring Naturals was born.
In keeping with the notion that anything you put on your skin should be something you wouldn't mind putting in your mouth, Mandie transformed herself into an "alchemist-chef" to develop luscious recipes that could refresh, renew and heal the skin. The resulting formulations, nurtured mindfully and lovingly over a period of several years, are of the highest quality and contain only pure ingredients sourced from certified organic growers and producers.
When developing her skin care formulas, Mandie adheres to the ancient priniciple of "like is attracted to like," which forms the basis for healing disciplines ranging from traditional Chinese medicine to homeopathy. In her experience as a bodyworker she discovered that the body readily accepts those formulas that are most similar to the skin’s own natural oils, so she handcrafts her blends in small batches of ingredients specially selected to enhance the skin's ability to heal itself.
Vera's Balm
Mandie's unique line uses as its base a proprietary blend called Vera's Balm. A richly restorative oil concocted by fellow alchemist and mentor, Vera Hoyer-Booth, Vera's Balm is a luxurious emulsion of extra-virgin olive and coconut oils infused with wild-crafted herbs and plants harvested by Vera herself in the mountains and meadows near her home in Ojo Sarco in northern New Mexico. Its age-defying properties produce radiant skin in women of all ages, as attested to by the enduring beauty of the generations of women in Vera's family who lived by and handed down this legacy mixture.
